China's Goods Trade Imports and Exports Rise 15.3% in First Five Months of 2026, Reaching 20.68 Trillion Yuan

According to China Customs Administration data released by Xinhua News Agency, China's goods trade imports and exports in the first five months of 2026 reached 20.68 trillion yuan, up 15.3% year-over-year. Exports totaled 11.91 trillion yuan, increasing 11.8%, while imports reached 8.77 trillion yuan, up 20.5%.

In May alone, China's imports and exports hit 4.45 trillion yuan, marking the third consecutive month exceeding 4 trillion yuan, with year-over-year growth accelerating to 16.9%.
