According to China's National Development and Reform Commission, the nation allocated 20 million yuan from the central budget to support Chongqing's emergency recovery efforts following severe flooding and geological disasters on May 24. The country's National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Committee activated a Level 4 national emergency response. The funds will support reconstruction of damaged roads, bridges, schools, and hospitals in affected areas, with the goal of restoring normal production and living order.
