Alibaba's Tmall Launches AI Home Design Platform to Empower Independent Designers and Contractors on May 15

According to Gulong Hui, Alibaba’s Tmall launched an AI-powered home design platform called Tmall Designer on May 15. The platform provides standardized capabilities including AI design, construction techniques, full-category supply chain access, construction compliance monitoring, and transaction guarantees. Independent designers, project managers, and renovation studios can integrate with the platform without significant capital investment and gain access to capabilities typically available only to large construction firms. Tmall Designer CEO Ma Xuejun stated that designers, foremen, and turnkey solution providers using the platform will evolve into “super individuals” in the AI era—becoming comprehensive designers, renovation specialists, and delivery managers with enhanced capabilities across the entire service chain.
