Meta-backed Scale AI wins $500 million AI contract from the Pentagon
Golden Finance reports that on May 7, the AI company Scale AI, which is invested by Meta, won a $500 million contract from the U.S. Department of Defense to develop an “agentic artificial intelligence” system for the Air Force’s “Survivable Airborne Operations Center” project. This represents a fivefold expansion compared with the $100 million contract the company obtained in September 2025.
