BlockBeats News, May 6 — According to The Wall Street Journal, ships attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday received verbal warnings from the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy, stating that the waterway remains under blockade. A Greek shipowner waiting to pass through the strait received a recording, which warned all vessels within the Persian Gulf and Oman Gulf that “any ship approaching the strait without permission or not following the designated route will become a target.”

Iranian state television reported that approximately 1,500 ships are currently preparing to cross the Strait of Hormuz, and added that without permission from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy, these ships will be unable to complete their voyage. (Jin10)
