OpenAI launches enterprise-exclusive ChatGPT: native integration with Microsoft Intune endpoint management

Abstract generation in progress

According to Beating Monitoring, OpenAI has released a standalone iOS app named ChatGPT for Intune on the App Store. This app is designed specifically for schools and corporate organizations, and its key change is that it natively supports Microsoft’s Intune unified endpoint management protocol.

The app addresses a specific pain point for many institutions: IT departments at many large enterprises require that applications on work phones be managed under Intune, which prevents the standard version of ChatGPT from passing compliance reviews. After the standalone version was released, employees operating in highly controlled environments can safely use core AI features such as Advanced Voice Mode, image generation, and file parsing.

The app supports cross-device history synchronization, and it is currently available for free download. In addition, the release of this enterprise management app is unrelated to the Codex feature that has recently been teased. OpenAI’s highly anticipated iOS Codex (featuring device control capabilities similar to those on the Mac) is expected to be released separately within this week.
