Crypto World News reports that Japanese cryptocurrency exchange bitbank has partnered with epos card, a subsidiary under Marui Group, to launch the epos crypto card—a credit card that supports using Bitcoin in a bitbank account as the source for monthly bill repayments. Issued on the Visa network, the card has no annual fee, and cashback can be optionally received in cryptocurrencies such as BTC, ETH, ASTR, and others. When making repayments, BTC will be automatically sold at platform prices and converted into Japanese Yen for settlement. The product is Japan’s first credit card that supports direct debit from a cryptocurrency exchange account, but it should be noted that selling BTC may involve tax reporting.
