Japanese cryptocurrency exchange bitbank has partnered with Marui Group’s Epos Card to launch the EPOS CRYPTO credit card, which supports using the Bitcoin in your bitbank account as a source for repaying monthly bills. Issued on the Visa network, the card has no annual fee, and you can choose cashback paid in crypto assets such as BTC, ETH, and ASTR. When making repayments, the system will automatically sell BTC at the platform price and convert it into Japanese yen for settlement. This product is Japan’s first credit card that supports direct debit from a cryptocurrency exchange account, but please note that selling BTC may involve tax reporting.
